Family Kayaking and Paddleboarding in Gloucestershire
Discover Paddling welcomes your family onto the water.
Our family sessions are all about spending time together on the water. Our friendly team keeps things relaxed and fun, with games and challenges that get everyone involved, so you can laugh together, try something new and head home with memories you will want to talk about.

Every 90-minute session is led by a qualified member of the Discover Paddling team, who will show you everything you need to get started. No previous experience is needed, so it is a lovely first taste of paddling for children and adults alike. We paddle on sheltered water, and you can choose between kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, whichever your family fancies.

We have equipment for all sizes, so even the smallest paddlers do not miss out. Choose from single and double kayaks with junior paddles, or our family paddleboard, which fits up to four people: two adults and two children.

Please note that double kayaks and the four-person paddleboard are only available on request.
Afterwards, there is time to relax. Our sessions are close to pubs, cafés and restaurants, so you can stay for a bite to eat and chat about your session together.

Wonderful family activity! My husband and children thoroughly enjoyed a session of paddle boarding with Lawrence this afternoon. Lawrence was super friendly, very engaging, including our 7 and 15 year old (who wasn't as chatty at first) Genuinely wanted you to have fun and have a great experience.
We did a family kayak experience with Discover Paddling a couple of years ago and came back today for a family paddle boarding session. Lawrence was brilliant, an excellent coach, dealing with 2 grandparents and 2 full on young boys who had never before set foot on a board. All our group thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, standing up in no time, gaining confidence throughout.
We had an amazing experience with Discover Paddling, 8yr old had such a good time she refused to leave the water until we promised that she could come back. The instructor was super kind, helpful and patient with the tuition and the constant excited chatter. We will be planning our next paddling adventure with them.
